The settlement process
The insurance company sends in the assignment concerning the claim settlement. Having received it, the claim settlement manager checks where inspections are necessary. Subsequently, the manager distinguishes the assignment to numbers convenient for particular liquidators so that they are able to carry out the inspection up to the deadline indicated by the Insurance company.
Coordination
The claim is additionally divided in such a way that the particular claim „numbers” are situated close to each other. In this way, a liquidator does not have to overcome unnecessary distances or inspect the areas that overlap with other liquidators. It allows us to assign more claims to one liquidator, thereby affecting the speed of execution.
The first contact
Usually, our liquidators appear at the claim site within 24 hours after the assignment was placed by the Client. At that time, the liquidator goes at the site and prepares to the process of claim settlement.
Having received the instructions, the liquidator gets in touch with the injured party and determines a predicted date of claim settlement – convenient for the injured. The exact time of the meeting is confirmed by a agricultural claim liquidator a day before appearing at the injured address. Thanks to that, the injured does not have to wait for the liquidator for the whole week, which is good for the both parties.
Verification of the documents
During the meeting with the injured, our liquidator checks his insurance policy and he verifies all his details. Subsequently, the liquidator and the injured go on site to inspect the crops, where the liquidator checks if the event indicated in the policy has in fact caused the reported crop damage.
Inspection
After the verification, the liquidator proceeds to a percent assestment of the damages in plants, crop and field area.
This is done by measuring the number of plants damaged by the atmospheric phenomenon and healthy plants in the representative places. The number of measurements is determined by the standards of the insurance company and is dependent on the surface of the field and unification of plants damage on the plantation. Sometimes it is also necessary to compare the damage on neighboring plantations.
Completing and verification of the claim folder
After the percent assestment of the plants damage have been made, the indispensable information about the growing methods are gathered. All completed forms, together with the requried documents relating to the property right, crops damaged area and shape of the field are photographed so that we are able to pass them to insurance company.
The claims that are sent in in the evening hours are forwarded to our company system and are subject to the Manager’s verification in the following morning.
Shipment of documents to insurance company
In the further course of investigation, the verified claim folders are passed to the insurance company. The first claims are received by the Insurer after 24 hours from the assignment acceptance.
The analysis and error correction
In case any errors or imperfection appear, the liquidator is informed by the Manager supervising a given claim settlement. If the insurance company happens to set additional demands in the course of already conducted settlement (e.g. a request for additional description or a photograph of a given plant), all the employees are informed about this fact by e-mail or text message so that they can react quickly and efficiently.
